The client
A textile studio that needed a site as warm as its craft.
Borrissol is the studio brand of Belén, who runs textile workshops — tufting, felting, punch-needle and weaving — in Mataró, Barcelona. She needed a website that felt handmade and personal, worked in several languages, and that she could truly own, without paying a platform every month.
The process
From her vision to launch, end to end.
- 01
Understanding the vision
Belén sent me everything about her project in writing — her workshops, her story, her references and the feeling she wanted the site to convey. I studied the aesthetic she was after and turned it into a brand identity and a token-based design system that keeps every page coherent.
- 02
Content & copy, in four languages
We worked through the content together. She gave me the raw material and I structured it into pages and wrote the copy — headlines, section text, calls to action — so the site reads clearly and sounds like her, in Catalan, Spanish, English and French.
- 03
Built around how she actually works
Product thinking, not just pages: a blog powered by a CMS (Keystatic) so Belén can publish and update content herself — no code, no waiting on me.
- 04
Accessible for everyone — and technically airtight
Accessibility was a priority, not an afterthought: ARIA-labelled landmarks, a skip link, visible keyboard focus, a correct heading hierarchy, 44×44px touch targets, alt text throughout and prefers-reduced-motion support (WCAG 2.1 AA). On top of that — full technical SEO (schema, hreflang, sitemap), GDPR-ready analytics and Playwright E2E tests. The payoff: a perfect Lighthouse score.

Organised so nothing feels overwhelming
Belén runs several techniques, each with its own levels and formats. The solution: a dedicated landing page per workshop, with its options laid out clearly — so nothing feels cluttered, and she can link each one straight from her Instagram posts.

Her press, built into the site
Belén has been featured in the press and on TV. I built a dedicated section that embeds her coverage — from La Vanguardia to a TV Mataró interview — so the social proof lives right on her own site.

Measured, not just claimed
Lighthouse audits a page and scores it 0–100 on four things: how fast it is, how accessible, how well-built, and how findable by search engines. Borrissol scores near-perfect on all four.
